Instructions

To request data from the NYC-CDRN, researchers must first submit an initial request form that will receive a preliminary review by Project Operations. A second review will then be conducted by the Research Review and Prioritization Group to assess whether the request meets the following criteria. The researcher will then be notified if they are approved. Next, IRB review and approval must be submitted to NYC-CDRN.

Once the above process is complete, a request for data can be made. Use of data is subject to the signing of a data use agreement and other necessary contracts. Data with no PHI are usually processed within one week, while data with PHI can take between two weeks and two months to process depending on the complexity of the request.
